Community Leaders of Davidson County
Making Community Service Our Business
Built by local business owners who wanted something more - a way to serve the community in a real, consistent, and impactful way.
Why We Started
Because Nothing Like This Existed
We’ve all been to the networking breakfasts. We’ve swapped referrals and sat through spotlight pitches. But when it came to serving our schools, our fire stations, and our neighborhoods, there wasn’t a space for that.
So, we created one. A place where business leaders show up not to sell but to serve.
No pitches. No spotlights. Just business leaders bringing their time, resources, and people together to make a difference, consistently and quietly.
Feeding the Heroes Nobody Remembers
Firefighters work 24-hour shifts protecting our community, often cooking their own meals between emergency calls. We deliver hot, fresh meals to every fire station in Davidson County as a tangible thank-you for the sacrifice they make daily. It's not just food—it's recognition of the people who show up when everyone else is running away.
Hands-On Help in Special Education Classrooms
Special needs teachers are some of the most resourceful people in our school system, but they're chronically underfunded. We partner directly with these classrooms, supplying materials for their Friday service projects and volunteering our time. These aren't one-off visits—we're building lasting relationships that support both students and educators.
Erasing the Back-to-School Financial Burden
When August rolls around, families across Davidson County face impossible budgets. Our annual supply drive doesn't just collect random donations—we work directly with schools to identify exactly what students need, from specific calculator models to the right notebooks. Last year's drive meant hundreds of kids walked into school confident rather than embarrassed on day one.
Turning Halloween Fun into Year-Round Impact
The Ghoul Gala isn't just another charity event. It's become Davidson County's most anticipated October tradition—a night where business leaders trade suits for costumes and raise serious money while having genuine fun. Every dollar funds our year-round mission to address the needs others ignore.
Local Business Leaders, United by Service
Our board is made up of Davidson County professionals who bring their time, leadership, and business expertise to CLDC, not for recognition but because they care deeply about their community.
